They literally announced him in his debut as a former Bellator LW Champion. If he becomes champion surely at some point the dreaded B word will come out

Either way it was a win/win for them. Didn't matter how the cards were dealt they can spin the narrative either way. He loses, Bellator level under UFC level just like Askren. If he wins, they stole Bellator's top talent. Win/win either way. That's why he got the title shot after the win. Whatever the outcome is it will still be a win/win situation for UFC.They’ve already acknowledged Bellator completely. They were banking on him being an Askren or Brooks but looks like he’s gonna be an Alvarez or potentially Volkov down the road

Not true. Half the pride guys cucked the ufc competition. Example: anderson came from a loss in pride and became me goat for years in ufc.Either way it was a win/win for them. Side note, all fighters from other promotions that win their first major fight usually lose their 2nd fight. This is due to increasing the difficulty level for their next fight. Something to think about with this fight. High level submission grappler with the most submissions wins in UFC history will not be an easy win.
