Which do you prefer?

I’m all in for adding more classes.

135 / 145 / 155 / 165 / 175 / 185 or 190 / 205 /
230-265 for HWs

Something like that. Gets a bit murky getting higher in weight at 185 and up.

More weight classes

There is no perfect solution for weight cutting like people always pretend there is

Don't even bring up One's sketchy ass hydration weigh in BS

That cab driver that KO’d Mighty Mouse looked just about tree times his size

Definitely no more weight classes. There are barely enough quality fighters to fill the current weight classes. You'd just end up with more guys going up and down and fighting in different classes and more guys going for multiple belts like boxing.

Guys, you do realize more weightclasses could lead to more weightcutting, right?

More weight class, no weight cuts.

135/145/155/165/175/195/215/230/265

Your solution leads to MORE weight cutting! More fighters will try to cut from 165 to 155 than from 170 to 155..

Maybe, but the fighters actually have options then, instead of needing a 165 weight class, but being forced to go down to 155 because you're too small at WW

We will wait until someone dies and then we'll do something... adding more weight classes wouldn't help Ryan Benoit make weight... ONEfc has got it figured out but the UFC is too stubborn to fix weight cutting and fix eye pokes... Just gotta wait until someone dies or loses an eye

If a fighter misses weight by more than 2.5lbs and the fight was not scheduled at short notice (let’s say 28 days) then said fighter must fight at least once at the weight group above, or get cut altogether.

Even they there should be a trial weigh in where they prove they can make their chosen weight before being able to compete back in it.

Also, any fighter that misses weight stays where they are in the rankings. They shouldn’t be rewarded and moved up regardless of the result.

There are plenty of weight groups to chose from. Some guys are just not that good so rely on being huge. It’s not ultimate anything.

Do wrestlers and power lifters weigh in right before the competition, does it affect the performance???
