Consider the following:

1. Sent DJ (apparently a goat candidate to the so-called "hardcores") to get knocked out in ONE.
2. Got Ben Askren for him who turned out to be a meme.
3. Completely botched Khabib's retirement reception and lw title picture.
3a. Did not schedule Dustin/Oliveira/Conor vs Gaethje for the title, because he didn't want the new champion to have a loss to retired Khabib, since that would hurt the champion's legitimacy.
3b. Instead he is actively trying to get Michael Chandler as the ufc champ via the immediate title shot despite the fact that he got knocked out by a Bellator manlet, which would hurt the champion's legitimacy far more than a loss to Khabib.
4. Sent Ben Askren the worst striker in the history of mma to get knocked out by some Youtube kid.
5. Is making Conor get knocked out AGAIN by Dustin.
6. Is making Masvidal get his toes crushed AGAIN by Usman.

Either Dana has zero foresight whatsoever or he's actively trying to run the company into the ground before he retires.

UFC is bleeding out.

The most exciting thing UFC related is the fighters they had doing tournaments or getting beat up by randoms.

You know Conor vs Dustin 3 and Mas vs Usman 2 are cash grabs sure and a TS for Mas but points 5 and 6 sorta sounds like you want them to have favorable match ups

Sent Ben askren ? Huh ?
Didn't he bet a million on Askren? Isn't Ben still technically under contract even though he retired and cannot fight in other promotions unless the UFC allows him to? Wasn't that the reason Dana took half of Conor's payday from the Mayweather fight? Dana sent Ben to fight Jake with his blessing and definitely put the UFC's reputation on the line with that PR move.

I'm speaking from a position of UFC's financial interests here. If Conor or Masvidal lose their next fights the casuals will stop caring about either.

3a. Dustin chose the money fight with Conor over the title fight with Oliveira.

3b. It’s not an immediate TS. Chandler beat Hooker.

4. The UFC has nothing to do with Askren anymore.

5. See 3a above.

1. DJ and UFC couldnt come to terms. He did not send him to get knocked out anywhere. What DJ does outside the UFC is his own business. Also he WANTED to go. Its not like the UFC can trade him if he doesnt agree.
2. Askren's short time in the UFC created more fireworks than DJ's whole career
3. He didnt get where he is today by giving up easy. Michael Chandler is absolutley who they should hitch their wagon to right now.
4. He didnt send Askren anywhere. He gambled and let him go make some money. It didnt work, but it was a nice gamble.
5. Now you are just being a big baby.
6. Waaaaaa. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

People are always saying this lmao
I ignored it until started believing it too lol. Had no idea there was a card on last night. The Askren Asskicking was advertised all over and had people talking about it. UFC just put on another flop boring card. It's 700 paper cuts into 1000

LMAO... you think wme would let that happen?

The UFC product is degrading as it prioritizes sloppy brawling over actual skill. Even though most UFC fights now are predominantly striking matches, when you realize that all those fighters would get completely worked in boxing or kickboxing, you realize that the UFC is really just a C-level kickboxing league.

I kind of agree about 5 and 6, those are very risky fights for both.

Still don't understand why they are not fighting each other, at least you can hype the winner. Even Conor vs Nate III is a better fight for deh buzinezz.

Dana agreed to trade DJ, without Dana's wish DJ could never fight in any other promotion ever. What DJ does outside of the UFC is definitely NOT just his business, he is a representative of the UFC and his performance still affects the UFC PR machine.
Askren made some noise, but in the end he made UFC look like a clown show.
Chandler is a good fighter and I think he's going to kill OLiveira, but if he wins the LW title, UFC's reputation will take another major hit, because now their champ in the most prestigious division is the bitch of Bellator's lower division champ. Not a good look and definitely a worse look than having a champ who lost to Khabib.
I already explained the Askren situation earlier and I don't really care about either Conor or Masvidal, just think the UFC could milk them more instead of destroying their careers with near guaranteed losses.
