In light of the recent jan vs adesanya fight.

I always wanted to see adesanya vs mousasi. I always saw adesanya winning. Mousasi tends to lose to specialists. But big brain jan outsmarted izzy for 5 rounds. The skills he showed, from what I've seeb, exist in mousasi's skillset. Obviously styles make fights as di physical attributes eg jan is more powerful etc. But would mousasi have been able to identify adesanya's weaknesses in camp, come up with a similar strategy and beat izzy in a similar way?

Moose could use the same strategy but the question is would he be strong enough to get him down and keep him there. It's hard to say where Moose is now because in his last fight he bullied a WW and looked incredibly meh the fight before against Machida.

It would have been a tough fight. I'd probably pick Mousasi if I had a gun to my head both in their primes. His judo could have caused Izzy a lot of issues.

In 2021 though? Izzy wins pretty easily IMO, people will still say Mousasi even though he's past his prime, they'll still convince you Mousasi would be UFC champ but it's just biased Moose fanboys doing their thing. In both their primes, a different story.

Mousasi is the most overrated MMA fighter, I've seen people saying he can beat Jon Jones. He struggled against a worn and undersized Shlemenko lol

Izzy beats Mousasi imo.

Better striking and Izzy's grappling defense is good enough to not get outgrappled by pretty much anyone his size.

With his age and mileage, I think Izzy wins today, but a Moose victory wouldn't shock me. In a prime vs. prime bout, Moose all day. More versatile, strong grappler, and rock-solid chin.

Izzy easily beats current Mousasi. The Mousasi that beat Weidman might be a diff story.

Moose is too small to beat Israel. You need a guy with a big size advantage to actually implement the strategy Jan used and I still thought Israel took the first three rounds and won the fight anyway.
