The ufc hype machine is real. But Izzy is not a generational talent. He’s not p4p top 20.

he will probably go on a losing skid now that everyone has seen he has zero tdd and even worse, once he’s on the ground he’s a fish out of water.

Izzy is not an Anderson, Jones, or GSP.

his ground game is non existent and his striking is criminally overrated.

on top of that he has zero charisma, nails on a chalkboard

Izzy is a great striker against bloated WWs like Whittaker and Gastelum and a drunk tuf can in Costa but he did get exposed by Jan in all facets of MMA especially the ground game where he showed nothing off his back.

Jan was more than comfortable to hang on the feet with Izzy where Izzy was apparently supposed have an overwhelming advantage but got neutralized by Jan.

He's definitely not a GOAT if he has no grappling. Hell he didnt even know how to do knees in the clinch a few times against the cage

>undefeated at 185
>wrecked the former champ

Yeah, Izzy is average at best, lol...
He is fighting In the right wheigt now lets see how his fights go from now on, he was fighting against midgets in MW

Izzy is very clearly a special talent. He fought a guy who was too big for him and his middle of the cage ground defense was partially exposed.

Is he the 1% of the 1% in the UFC? Yes. Is he an "A+ in every facet of the game" like DC said before the fight? No.

Was he the 2nd UFC fighter to fail to become a 2-dividion champion? The 1st being BJ?

It's 1 loss in a higher weight division...a decision loss where he sustained no real damage. Bro, you're drunk. Go home.

It was a disappointing fight and his strategy didn’t pan out but he’s still the closest thing to a Silva successor that we’ve got.
