He should have been immediately stripped the moment he announced retirement, not this stupid, "maybe they didn't really mean it and I can convince them to come back" like some loser jilted lover.

If he comes back he can always fight whoever has the belt in a mega fight so you don't lose anything by stripping but you do lose and keep the division in limbo by not having a champion.

How can he be stripped when he's practically handing the belt back and Dana is forcing him to remain Champion in hopes his begging of a Conor rematch come to fruition. I know Conor just got a juicy dose of CTE but you don't have to act like you have it too.

At the very least, he isn't going to come back while someone he already beat is holding the belt. If Oliveira or Chandler go on to establish themselves as a dominant champ, he might be interested.
