Georges appears at ~35 minute mark
BYM is a great podcastCliffs, most of us cbf to watch it.
That Khabib is so adamant about GSP coming down just shows how much he respects George's skillset. He's smart in doing so; you want every advantage possible when you're taking on someone that dangerous. At 41:41, GSP says Khabib is the same size as him or probably bigger, and he wakes up at around 183lb.
The fact that Khabib expects GSP to make 155 is kind of a bitch move ngl, he's almost 40. You would've thought he would be more flexible to make his dream fight happen.
GSP is kind of the bitch for bitching about this. If the UFC offered him $30 million (which is financially viable because the PPV would do at least 1.5 million buys and Khabib would likely accept this fight for $10 million, maybe even less because he has said it's his dream fight), GSP would take it in a heartbeat. The fact that Khabib expects GSP to make 155 is kind of a bitch move ngl, he's almost 40. BYM is a great podcast
It’s a 2 hour podcast, it’s the best mma podcast aroundSeen a bit of it, to know they only talk about mma for like 15m while the rest is just banter about other irrelevant crap they push for you to care about..Not my cup of tea.

Winning a UFC belt in a third weight class and becoming the first person to defeat a guy who has looked absolutely unbeatable would be amazing for GSP's legacy. If he loses, his current legacy stays intact (because who cares if a 39/40 years old loses) and he's $30 million richer. If the weight cut would affect his performance that much, then lose some muscle mass to make it easier.
Or - the other away around. That Khabib is so adamant about GSP coming down just shows how much he respects George's skillset. He's smart in doing so; you want every advantage possible when you're taking on someone that dangerous.
With all due respect, it's a bitch move on Khabib's part. GSP was already established as one the GOATs before anyone ever heard of a Khabib. That Khabib is so adamant about GSP coming down just shows how much he respects George's skillset. I'm not arguing for or against the competitive morality of the weight issue, just substantiating and expanding on why it's an issue to both guys, and how it's wise to gain any advantage possible over your opponent. This is competition, and the concept of "fair and" honor" are very relative in such context. With all due respect, it's a bitch move on Khabib's part. It's bad enough you want a 40+ year old inactive fighter. At least fight him where he's best.
Then he's not facing GSP at his best. What's the point then? That Khabib is so adamant about GSP coming down just shows how much he respects George's skillset. He's smart in doing so; you want every advantage possible when you're taking on someone that dangerous.
