Is Dustin Poirier the 2nd best lightweight ever?

1. Motivated Penn
2. Motivated Penn
3.Motivated Penn
4.Motivated Penn
5.Motivated Penn
6. Motivated Penn
7.Motivated Penn
8.Motivated Penn
9. Khabib
10. Dustin

But.... this is what happens when he isn't motivated....

Dustin's LW resume shits all over BJ, Bendo, Frankie, Tony's

There's a huge gap between Dustin at #2 and whoever the fuck #3 is

The problem is Dustin has never been the number 1 guy in the divison. Hard to be "da best eva" when you are a perennial number 2 (or lower) fighter.

Even if Khabib is gone, he could very well lose to Chandler.

1. Khabib
2. BJ Penn
3. Dustin

But i'll have to compare dustin with the other top guys.

Does he go past BJ Penn?
At most I'd put Poirier at #7 all-time to tie with (4) RDA, (4) Edgar, and (4) Ferguson.

(8) Gomi, (7) Henderson, (7) Alvarez, (7) Penn, (7) Aoki, and (5) Nurmagomedov all have more top ten wins than (4) Poirier.

Edit: Forgot about Aoki.

Most to least Top 10 wins at Lightweight (based on FightMatrix):
1. Gomi
2-5. Henderson, Alvarez, Penn, Aoki
6. Nurmagomedov
7-10. RDA, Edgar, Ferguson, Poirier

Never said he was the best ever, but being #1 in a weak era like 3 out of the other 4 guys I mentioned doesn't mean shit compared to Dustin's absurd resume.

Honestly, if he gets a couple more wins (Olivera, Chandler, Ferguson etc. ) You could make a strong argument that he's number 1. Similar to ranking Aldo over Mcgregor, even though Mcgregor starched him.

Shits on Tony's resume? Come on now, that is silly
