Poirier had been doing well for years, while McGregor didn't even fight once a year. Poirier had tons of wars at 155, McGregor only had a few fights after he moved up. If you were a rational better, you would had won some money.

Likely because of his dominant last performance mixed with winning the first fight .

He was supposed to be a slight favorite, not a big one.

And cause you are very rational u made a lot of money tonight.

For you to make money. But ya prob didn’t cause you was too scared.

Because he KO'd him in their first fight. Now that the fight is over people are acting like they knew the outcome all along.Pathetic

Conor messed up spending most of the first round clinch fighting, that burned him out and he got desperate in the 2nd round. He was the favorite because he is a bit better in striking when he's fresh. 1st round showed that as Conor was getting the better of Dustin in the exchanges. All that changes when he gets tired and gets desperate chasing the KO/TKO. There was a good chance that Conor could've finished him in the first.

I don't know if it was Conor trying to prove his cardio by choosing to not break away from the clinch fighting when he had a chance or just an error made in the heat of the moment but it's what actually cost him the fight. He was burned out from that and got desperate in the 2nd round.

Poirier also beat Max easily in their first fight and people still wrote him off when they fought again. Poirier had been doing well at 155, McGregor had been inactive.
