“Here’s the thing,” White told Farah Hannoun of UFC Arabia ahead of his meeting with Nurmagomedov. “The last time he fought here [against Gaethje], he was under tremendous pressure physically, mentally, emotionally. His Dad had just died, and I don’t think that anybody should make a decision that big with what he was dealing with. He’s had time not to go home and heal, spend time with family, think about a lot of things, so this is just going to be a real easy conversation. Just yes or no.

“I mean [a rematch with] Conor McGregor is a no-brainer if he wins the fight [with Dustin Poirier at UFC 257],” White added. “[Charles] Oliveira is out there now. There’s guys out there that are big fights, good fights… fights that make sense for him. It just depends where his head’s at and what he wants to do.”
“I don’t know,” White said of a fight between Nurmagomedov and St-Pierre. “I think that if he wanted to fight Georges St-Pierre, you have him give up the title, and him and Georges St-Pierre fight.”

Says he wants to fight him at 155, then changes his mind and says 170, and in other interview says he’s fully retired...the excuses are endless with him

Just recently GSP teased a “big announcement” and his dumb fan base thought it would be Khabib but it was some dumb sponsor thing? Who knows

GSP just loves the attention, he has no intention of actually fighting Khabib

This is the same guy who ducked Anderson saying he was too small for 185 and then moved to 185 when Bisping was champ

Now the facts:

he was ww champ and wanted to keep defending his belt while active which he did for years and years. If Anderson wanted to come down he could have.

he fought bisping after already giving up his belt. He only fought bisping because Anderson got his ass kicked by Bisping while GSP choked and punched him unconscious.

GSP is an average sized ww. Onus is not on him to move up, not anymore than it is for Silva to come down.

Sonnen beat up Silva for 4.5 rounds while admitting in his videos that GSP made a fool of him when they trained together.

Khabib was the one who called out GSP initially. Not the other way. The fact that he’s too afraid of meeting in the middle against a 40 year old is cowardice on his part not on GSPs. Both are legends, one just more than the other.

GSP is a duck who tapped to strikes against a TUF winner

If he gets the balls to fight Khabib, he will tap to strikes again and go back to changing his hair colour and trying to stay relevant

Saying something don’t make it true pal. He defended his belt for years top contender after top contender. Something most fighters haven’t done. Fluke losses happen sometimes. It makes more sense to tap to strikes given how sensitive the brain is and how permanent the damage can be as opposed to a fucking CHOKE. jfl. I doubt he’s tapping to Khabibs pillow lightweight fists. Khabib is a good striker but power is not something he has a lot of from what we saw in the ufc.

Pleasantly shocked that Dana mentioned Oliviera.

Also glad to hear him say Khabib would need to vacate the belt in order to fight GSP. 155 needs to get moving asap. We have Oliviera, the 2 winners from next Saturday, RDA, CDF/Dariush winner, AND Islam/Dober winner all 1 or 2 wins away at most from a title shot.

I agree unfortunately. GSP has more to gain from this match than Khabib in all ways. Doesn't make sense to take the fight other than to fulfill his father's dream.

GSP barely looked good against bisping. Now advance that three and half years.
