Then instantly hit with A 4 year Ban by USADA! That's gotta be a world record!

USADA announced today that an independent arbitrator has rendered a decision in the case of former UFC® athlete Chi Lewis-Parry, of Surrey, United Kingdom, and determined that Lewis-Parry should receive a four-year period of ineligibility for anti-doping policy violations that he committed while he was in the UFC program. This decision comes after the facts of the case were presented and fully argued at an evidentiary hearing on November 10, 2020.

Lewis-Parry, 37, tested positive for the following substances as the result of out-of-competition tests on September 12, 2019 and September 19, 2019:

  • Drostanolone and its metabolites 2α-methyl-5α-androstan-3α-ol-17-one and 2α-methyl-5α-androstan-3β,17β-diol;
  • Stanozolol metabolites 3′-hydroxy-17-epistanozolol-O-glucuronide and 3′-hydroxystanozolol-O-glucuronide;
  • Metabolites of dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (DHCMT) or similar 4-chloro-17α-methyl substituted anabolic steroid
The above are non-Specified Substances in the class of Anabolic Agents and are prohibited at all times under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy and UFC Prohibited List.

Upon being added to the UFC Anti-Doping Program, athletes are required to declare prohibited substances they have used in the previous 12 months. An athlete who makes such declaration will not be deemed to have committed a violation but, depending on the substance, may be required to refrain from competition for a period of at least six months and provide at least two negative samples. Lewis-Parry did not declare the use of drostanolone, stanozolol, or DHCMT on his onboarding declaration forms. Subsequent to his positive tests but before competing in any UFC bout, Lewis-Parry was released from the program.

In its investigation into the circumstances of the case, USADA also discovered that Lewis-Parry presented falsified evidence, specifically an adulterated supplement, to USADA and the arbitrator in support of the athlete’s claims that the prohibited substances had originated from a contaminated supplement."

I remember him gassing out HARD in a 3 minute round in Glory kickboxing. His cardio in MMA would've been atrocious at best.

UFC better release him so he can earn a paycheque elsewhere

They all eventually get caught. It should be absolutely impossible to test positive for anything unless you're knowingly taking whatever it is you get flagged for. There's no such tainted this and that. All fighters are given the same damn list of what you can and can't have in your body. Even the great MIke Tyson said in his prime he was on the saucy saucy. Hell, Patrick Bonnar was man enough to admit he was knowingly taking stuff to be able to compete. Either fight in Japan or come with that long long long money if you want to stay on the gear.

9-0-2-2 is one of the stranger records I've seen.

Oh well. He can get fights overseas and keep juicing

It wasn't his fault. He ate some Flintstones vitamins that had that shit in it!

Not if the UFC is petty and refuses to release him from his contract until the suspension is up.

They've done this to several guys. Most notably Tom Lawlor.

He honestly looked terrible in the 2-3 fights I watched of him

I had no idea he was in the ufc or planning to be or anything, same guy who wouldn’t submit his medical records and drug tests to fight Brandon Vera after talking all that shit. He had the Chael Sonnen special in his system and tried to trick USADA. Makes sense he’s in the best shape of his career in his late 30’s, thought it was just that Cung Le lighting.
