Meaning of Khabib's name

Habibi. I always knew the Magomed in all these Caucasian fighters was really a spelling of Muhammad, many people haven’t recognized that.

He didn't even say Khabib's last name right. The G is a H sound.

Read this a while back,

In Arabic, there’s a big difference between ha-beeb and huh-beeb. As Sam explains, “Those mistakes carry their own meanings in the Arabic language as well.” To summarize:

Hub is an Arabic verb that means to start moving.

Kub is an Arabic verb that means to topple something over.

Hab, where the name Khabib comes from, means love. The name Habib (regardless of how it is transliterated) means beloved.

So if you’re calling him Ka-beeb or Kuh-beeb, you’re calling him a person who topples other people over. It might be true, but it’s not his name.

it actually means "he whos mother fornicates with bears"

I love names, without looking at the video, I'm guessing something like:

Khabib, Of New Mohammed.

I know Magomed = Mohammed, and ov = of / son of, or similar?

Nur.......not so sure, but I suspect it means new. Kazakhstan's capital recently got renamed 'Nur-Sultan' instead of 'Astana' and I thought it possibly meant New Sultan, or similar.

EDIT - Now I've watched the video, cool!
