Santos had a more impressive performance against Jones than Gus/Reyes did

He almost beat Jones with one leg

Also slept Jan

Jan is no different than he used to be, he kept running at Reyes yesterday in a straight line but Reyes sucks at counterpunching

Santos will sleep Jan again

Running away and swinging - great against a rushing bull, but he would get totally destroyed by Jan today. Methodical, 3, 4 hit combos ending with mid kicks, no rushing.

Reyes was completely destroyed by him, and Reyes had better performance against Jones than dos Santos.

A rematch would be interesting. Doubt he'd rush forward throwing punches like that again

Santos sparks Jan again and again. Jan is the same bullrusher he always was

Santos did way better than Reyes vs Jones considering he had one leg for the entire fight

Sadly, after double knee surgery he will never be the same again.

Maybe he still has some juice in the tank, we'll see. I'm down for the rematch.

He's 3-1 at LHW. Not enough data to draw from.

Very impressive performance against Jon.
Knee probably too damaged though.

Lol, I like Santos but in what world does a guy who throws twice as many strikes but still gets out landed 2-1 while only landing single digit head strikes, spends 90% of the fight backing up and is the only guy to get badly rocked and in danger of being finished "Almost" win a fight?

Santos lost a clear as it gets 49-46 decision against Jon (who you may recall also had 1 leg) but since Santos the "blown up MW" didn't get completely destroyed like everyone expected and exploded forward throwing big hooks at the air in front of Jon's head occasionally when his back touched the fence people desperately wanted to award him a win for his display of heart despite clearly losing.

Jan/ Reyes went exactly as I predicted it would (though admittedly quicker than expected) for similar reasons. Everyone thought because Reyes had the fight of his life giving a Jon who didn't take him seriously the closest fight of his career he was a lock to beat Jan.

A Reyes Jones rematch would have looked just like the Jones Gus rematch because they both fought a Jon that didn't view them as a threat the first time so didn't take his training seriously. History has shown he doesn't make that same mistake twice, (a Santos rematch would also be no exception but since he already clearly won the first time there's really no need).
