Time to put some respect on the mans name, no matter how much you hate him, he is one of the few elite fighters in the ufc. If you compare his top ranked wins to anyone else in the division, the only person who comes close to Colbys level of domination is Kamaru Usman and rightly so. Both Usman and Colby leagues ahead of anyone else in the division as they have proven already. The only fighters that beat them currently are each other imo.
Demian Maia:
Got a cut in first round but other than that, completely dominated Maia throughout and had no issues going to ground with him either, unlike Usman who chose to fight against the cage. By the end of third round, Maia was literally sitting in a pool of his own blood and could've been stopped. Even a round longer and guaranteed it would have been stopped.
RDA:
Taken down at will and controlled throughout. No success for RDA whatsoever in the entire 5 rounds. Watching him in his corner after the first round only and you can tell hes broken. Never have seen anyone else do that to RDA or Lawler. Usman dominated RDA as well but RDA at least had a bit of success on standup against Usman imo. No answer for Colbys pressure and wrestling.
Lawler:
Probably Colbys most impressive win to date. I have never seen a fighter dominate and embarass Lawler like that. Seeing Lawler in his corner after first round and he was absolutely broken, he knew he wasnt winning that fight. Colby took him down at will and outstruck on the feet as well. Attempted over 500 strikes in the fight. Was cranking Lawlers neck just for the heck of it in early rounds, just mental destruction.
Woodley:
Similar to Usman and Burns fights but Colby was the only one to finish Woodley. Woodley had no success whatsoever when he was apparently motivated the most in his own words. Colby ended up breaking Woodleys ribs just by manhandling him on the ground. Threw and landed more strikes than both Usman and Burns, finished Woodley, and also outstruck him on the stand up. Beautiful clinch elbows as well, new addition to his game.
