Interested in peoples opinion on whether they truly measure success by money. for instance imo Connor is likely much unhappier today than he was 5 years ago. I usually hear things like "well he made a hundred million so you are nobody" type of stuff..but I am willing to bet if you could ever get an honest answer from him he would admit he was much happier and fulfilled working hard, improving and earning wins rather than buying expensive shit, banging randoms, abusing substances and watching his money so it doesn't get stole.....what say sherbros...does money end up corrupting those who hoard it? would you rather have riches or other gains ie spiritual or professional? Bones is another one I wonder about in that regard. These guys seemed much more alive when they were achieving and climbing the rungs. They seem sort of lost now...

It's actually women that leads to money=root of all evil

In answer to your title, "Money-root of all evil", I quote Francisco d'Anconia:

"So you think that money is the root of all evil? . . . Have you ever asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can’t exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil?

When you accept money in payment for your effort, you do so only on the conviction that you will exchange it for the product of the effort of others. It is not the moochers or the looters who give value to money. Not an ocean of tears nor all the guns in the world can transform those pieces of paper in your wallet into the bread you will need to survive tomorrow. Those pieces of paper, which should have been gold, are a token of honor—your claim upon the energy of the men who produce. Your wallet is your statement of hope that somewhere in the world around you there are men who will not default on that moral principle which is the root of money. Is this what you consider evil?

Have you ever looked for the root of production? Take a look at an electric generator and dare tell yourself that it was created by the muscular effort of unthinking brutes. Try to grow a seed of wheat without the knowledge left to you by men who had to discover it for the first time. Try to obtain your food by means of nothing but physical motions—and you’ll learn that man’s mind is the root of all the goods produced and of all the wealth that has ever existed on earth.

But you say that money is made by the strong at the expense of the weak? What strength do you mean? It is not the strength of guns or muscles. Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think. Then is money made by the man who invents a motor at the expense of those who did not invent it? Is money made by the intelligent at the expense of the fools? By the able at the expense of the incompetent? By the ambitious at the expense of the lazy? Money is made—before it can be looted or mooched—made by the effort of every honest man, each to the extent of his ability. An honest man is one who knows that he can’t consume more than he has produced."

Its really complicated.
When you've been poor and got money then you try to do everything you were dreamin about when broke.
But reality is never as good as dreams even when come true and rich boy can turn salty/cynic.
In this way it can be seen as root of evil but on the other hand you've got that guy that have been broke all his life to the point he'll do so really fucked things to get that money and turn evil.
I think its all about individuals and how you can deal with that kind of massive change in your life.

Not the place to talk about something like that... I don't want to outright insult people so I'll leave it there.

I think TS meant greed bro.

I can imagine how it could be a curse, people will kiss your ass and you will have to judge every time if this person just want to profit. Same with finding a woman. I dont have that many crazy dreams just the thought of being set not having to worry about
The bills seems like paradise to me but im not rich so i dont know how it woule be.

rather than buying expensive shit, banging randoms, abusing substances and watching his money so it doesn't get stole.

Well, the problem isn't money, it's Conor. Just because you are rich doesn't mean you have to constantly brag about your cars and watches on Instagram, and generally being obsessed with how you look in the eyes of random strangers. Because if that's the endgame, you'll end-up pretty disappointed and empty if it actually happens and you already have no clue what else to do with your life in your 30's.

Conor would be much happier if he made the 20mill he set out to and been an active fighter

Some people can not handle fame and fortune and I suspect he is one.

I remember ronaldo saying he can't go anywhere with his kids and as much as he is thankful for the position he's in, he envies ordinary people's privacy and relaxed lives

It’s hilarious that pot or super rich he still submits himself to other men using simple chokes.

He could have Bill Clinton’s money and he’d still be sad because he knows he isn’t elite.

conor will always be just like this sad attention whore until he brings himself undone entirely
