If Johny Hendricks can stop eating cheeseburgers (it's a big IF, I know), I'd like to see him fight Woodley after his rib gets ok. Let's give them one year. What do you think? Who takes this?

I thought Hendricks is fighting BareKnuckle now?

hendricks will never likely be signed again by the ufc, simply because he's not a draw, he sucked ass after usada was implemented, coincidence or not.

likely the ufc has zero interest in him anymore. his main rise to fame is the fight with gsp that everyone says he won, but really everyone's opinion means shit including mine since neither fighter got a finish and in the words of professionals including dana don't leave it in the hands of the judges, clearly they felt gsp won even with the damage so that means johnny didn't do enough....he didn't even do enough to score a draw, but tyron did in one of his title fights? Everyone so blinded by the visual damage on gsp, don't analyze and score the fight with eyes and viewpoints of the judges, they ruled in gsp's favor. years later talking about the gsp/hendricks fight is like beating a dead horse, johnny battered the champ when he was having an off night yet still didn't prevail. close fight, or thought he won, doesn't even matter cause gsp was the one who walked out that night still the ww champ.

hendricks to me will be known as the ww that almost won but still came out the loser...his almost beating gsp wasn't good enough anyways because he still lost and couldn't even muster a draw which would've been the closest thing to actually winning the decision or getting a finish which neither he did...the only other person who can say they almost may of won but didn't was condit when he head kicked gsp and knocked him down following with gnp but gsp recovered and regained control of the fight. Coming up short, or almost winning is great but the only thing that really matters is actually succeeding neither condit or hendricks could do it.

I would rather see Lawler/Woodley II, both retire thereafter.

I agree with most of what you say, GSP won 1-3-5 in my book, but when I see more and more shitty undercards like the one for next saturday, I think there's place for two former champs going at it and settling their beef. Two similar guys (great wrestlers with explosive punching power) who tought they were better than GSP but are now a disgrace and getting beat by a gay pornstar.

Tried it, Hendricks got hospitalised cutting weight. Woodley would have given him fits back then

He fought one fight in Casper against Dakota Cochrane, the gay porn dude. He lost to gay porn in horrible fashion.
No kidding, Jesus what a fall from grace.

I really thought Hendricks would stick around as a top guy for a long time even if he never won the belt again after losing it to Robbie. People may forget but he went on an insane streak to get to GSP, beating 4 top 10 guys in a row wih a 6 fight win streak overall. Add in the Lawler and Brown win and he had 6 ranked wins which is nothing to sneeze at. But man did he fall off hard. Maybe its USADA but I think its more to do with lack of discipline.

On an unrelated note I think the fact that the BKFC ring girl wears a dress and heels is a nice touch.

problem with Johnny is UFC will never sign him again. From what i saw in few interviews before he got cut, he showed sympthoms of some mental issiues. Schizophrenia or stuff like that. It was painfull to watch and legit made me sad. Doubt UFC would take such risk for such small reward

I went to this event, he was supposed to face Brennan Ward but Brennan pulled out because of pay dispute. This company ended up screwing everyone. I think a couple fighters ended up getting paid.

Anyway, it just so happened we stayed at the same hotel as Johny Hendricks and Chris Leben, there could have been other fighters there but we saw them both during breakfast. I talked to Johny and he talked to me like I was some kind of reporter...total canned answers like he was in an interview. Really sad. Leben was very cordial, man he has a HUGE head.

I think the highlight was after the fights I got a photo with Bas Rutten.

great feedback and i don't care for neither johnny or tyron but to see a fight between them i guess would've been nice, did not know the previous history of them, thanks for the video link.

i think hendricks is done for good in the ufc, i can't really see them wanting to bring him back, maybe another organization like bellator or something. if that's the case tyron would have to be a free agent to set up a fight with hendricks anyways, however if this fight were to ever happen i'd prefer tyron to win.
