Remember a few years ago, Bektic was supposed to be a future champ, and the narrative about him was that only injuries could hold this guy back. I recall him being praised as the second coming of GSP (probably by Joe Rogan by the sound of it, but still), and look at him now.

To be fair, he still appears to be quite skillful but keeps on losing fights he should win.

he fought 145's version of luke rockhold

Lol. A low key Rogan hate thread. Cleverly done TS, but im on to you.

Big fan of the guy, his skills, his character and his story too. Have been quite disappointed in his recent performances. He seems to make exactly that one mistake that‘ll cost you in a fight he is winning. Maybe its time to leave Tristar and go somewhere else.

Sucks that the other guy was a dick about the win as well. Kinda felt bad for Mirsad

He gasses out badly in last round and his striking isn't good. Just shoots takedowns over and over even if it gets him subd or KOd

He seems to have all the tools but can’t put it together into a winning combination.

He seems to have all the athletic tools and a well-rounded skillset but has a dreadful fight IQ and gas-tank. He fades visibly and makes silly mistakes. I was mainly distracted by Jackson's incredibly awful hairline, though. Someone needs to have serious words with him - refuse to train him until he shaves that off.

elite level offense with no fight iq, stamina, or defense of any kind. he doesn't have the skills or the gas tank to defend himself after he beats the shit out of someone for two rounds.

Lol, so you're just going to completely discount the Leech? Let me guess, his hairline is the reason you have done so?

From the first take down Jackson was determined to submit. Becktic turned it into a grinding dog fight from the opening bell but jackson's grit, cardio, and bjj proved too much for Becktic.

You can argue that Becktic gassed but you could argue that Jackson could have subbed him fresh considering how tight some of those subs were.

I thought any prospect that trains at TriStar is the next GSP

Time to move on and switch camp. Firas is an overrated coach, better go to Covington's camp and be around winners.

He uses all his energy to take people down so they could get back up few seconds later. He seriously needs to learn how to hold people down. Also he was asking to get submitted the whole fight. That kimura was super close and few other guillotine attempts where he visibly struggled little bit. it was just a matter of time until he was going to get caught and he did. He could have knocked Jackson out standing but instead he decided to give Jackson his only path to victory... really hard to understand what that guy is thinking in a fight. He sort of fights in auto-pilot mode and does not make adjustments during the fight. he is a beast but there are so many holes in his game that it's just sad to see his talent going down the drain.

Never thought he would reach the top10 or him being anything special. Just the usual dumb stuff Rogan says.

Doesn't implement a pace he can sustain for 3 rounds. Also always looks like he has no thoughts behind his strikes, he throws just to throw with no rhyme or reason behind his combos. He's also very robotic with no real rhythm or sense of game plan to wear down his opponent. All the ability but no fight IQ
