Media Alexey Oleynik: "There are always 2 ways: forward and back. I choose the first one."

He said in interviews before the Werdum fight how he really needed the money.

“In two or three months, I would have become very nervous,” Oleinik told MatchTV. “I don’t have money now. I already borrowed 15-17 thousand dollars. Therefore, if there were no fights, it would be problematic.”

He'll likely hang around until the UFC cuts him. Hope he can string together a few more wins. Seems like a nice guy.

I usually don't complain about fighter pay since I think its pretty decent in most cases in the top 10. But a top 10 guy with like 70 fights having to borrow money when he can't fight for a few months is just sad. Oleinik also doesn't seem like the guy who blows all his money on sports cars.

Ok fair but in all reality in 2020, fighting always forward is backwards in principle. You need to be more dynamic. The current hw div is a joke lol

First of all, your reality is tainted. There is currently more talent in the UFC HW division now than ever before, even if it's got a lot of older, wily vets.

More dynamic? I think Alexey's stand up has been improving. Maybe not like a 22 year old, but he has.

2004 account my ass! You sound every bit the fucking noob you're account date says. You're a fucking troll chump, nothing more.

How can you not be a fan of Aleksei? Guy is probably 10 years older than most of the fighters in the UFC and is also more active than most of them. Almost always entertaining, too.
