Smaller playing fields in all sports force more offense. It’s certainly in favor of the fans.

Soccer should do that shit with their field, 90 mins for maybe a goal is f’ing brutal.
 
I feel like Dana chose to stay with the smaller cage because Woodley was fighting
 
I was wondering if the higher finishing ratio might have anything to do with the smaller cage generally being used for relatively lower level fights (TUF, Contender Series, FN vs PPV, ESPN, etc), and more skilled/experienced fighters being more difficult to finish.

Looks like the next month or so will be a fun experiment to test that hypothesis (unless there are stats out there accounting for that already that I’ve missed).
