With the newly enacted travel ban from Brazil due to major rises in covid-19 cases and deaths, how will the overall scope of MMA be affected without Brazilian fighters unable to travel and fight, with the exception of Brazilians already residing in the US.

It sounds like it will be normal MMA except without Brazil based Brazilians.

Knowing the UFC all the Brazilians will be shelved until allowed back in.

They COULD allow exemptions to allow fighters to work in other promotions, or stage an all Brazil card using all Brazilian talent just to keep them working, but they won’t.

Borrachina can hold onto his contender status another year

They should have done this months ago. Brazil is even worse than the states, probably more cases but way less testing

That Bolsonaro dude makes Trump look smart and reasonable.

Here we go, after their dumbass president denied the truth for monthes , Brazil is sadly taking the covid spike in full force.
And they can thank the governors of the regions that ignored the presidential orders and established quarantine or the situation would even be worse.

All the countries with 'half a brain' should do the same as Trump asap as far as Brazil is concerned .

Did president BallsSoNarrow comment on the ban ? Would be interesting to hear what he says about his pall shutting him down.

Just speaking as a Latin American and knowing its history, Bolsonaro like virtually all past right wing politicians in Latin American countries, will continue to boot lick and bend over for the good ole' USA and beg for seconds.

Fight Island is last week's news. They're currently working on Fight Jungle.

I imagine it will make it harder to travel to and from Brazil.

Bolsonaro seems dumber than the shit-stained bottom of his own shorts. And quite a lot of Brazil-based MMA fighters seem to endorse all the dumbass shit he spews.

When it comes to UFC fighters embracing Donald Trump, I'm never sure whether they're just trying to asskiss Dana, knowing that him and Trump are buddies and that Dana donates a million every year to the Republican Party, or whether they're actually stepping into the realm of discussing their own political views.
