John had so many opening for elbows in the clinch, I don’t get what he was doing..
 
Huge Jones fan here. His grappling, esp against tall guys, is not elite. He isn't like DC or Cain where he takes an ankle pick or high crotch single and runs the pipe (even though his rd 5 takedown in the first Gustaffson fight was exceptional), most of the time he uses misdirection trips/sweeps or double legs, which is wayyyyy harder against tall guys who got similar leverage and long legs.

I think as he's polished up his kicking game, his explosive wrestling game has diminished. Definitely not the guy who fought Shogun, Bader, and Bonnar.

...but he's winning, so that's all that matters. Hope he quits soon and retires undefeated.

That fight sucked, and it was Reyes’s fault, with that running away pitter patter bullshit. And he *still* got worked. Looked like total shit afterwards, bloody mouth & could barely breathe. Jones fought a photo perfect fight & won three rounds clearly


If you think Reyes somehow won that fight, I have some oceanfront property in Belarus that you should come take a look at

He never rocked him. Stop seeing what you want to see lol. He knocked him off balance with that body shot. That was it. Reyes looked like total shit after the fight. He had a mouth full of blood & could barely breathe, and his legs were decimated with heavy bruising. Jones was unscathed & looked like he could go ten more rds
 
Rogan actually pointed out how Reyes was just outmuscling non-pulsing Jon by simply pushing down on and breaking the underhooks
