Why did/does Dana White hate Jose Aldo so much?

How does he hate him? He's giving him cejudo even after a boring performance in which the judges claim he lost

Dont think he does.. Aldo just got gifted a title shot

Ok, specifically in reference to not giving him a rematch with Conor after being a long reigning champion, and telling him he had to drop the FW belt if he wanted to move up to challenge Pettis for the LW belt, when Conor had to do no such things.

Same reason Israel had to apologise for his 9/11 comments, while mcgregor gets away with calling people nazis and shit.

Either Americans are super sensitive and need an American/White champ to feel secure in there obesity/bad genetics, or Americans are the dumbest people on planet earth who can’t figure out how to get a stream to work, therefore being the best market for the UFC. Take your pick.

I think he did early on, Aldo was super lazy doing media, didn't even try to learn English, pulled out of a ridiculous % of his fights, including the biggest one yet which was against McGregor. Oh and his ribs magically healed just a few weeks after McGregor / Mendes.

That's more a case of McGregor getting the usual special treatment than it is of Aldo being "hated".

I think the UFC likes Aldo overall, he's been getting TS left and right after his loss to Conor.

Wasn’t he just gifted a title shit after a loss?

It's strange to say this considering the total bullshit that the McGregor era introduced but...

Aldo was holding up the division.

Constantly getting "injured" if his opponents form looked a bit too hot and some real shenanigans around drug testing.

Plus not speaking English made his earning (for the UFC) potential much smaller.

He's a great martial artist and, from what I can tell, a real decent dude as well.

Did you not follow Aldo’s career in ufc? He constantly pulled out, refused to learn English, didn’t help them out with marketing, etc the list goes on. Primarily because he constantly pulled out of fights & jeopardized the division. White despised Anderson Silva too but at least Silva was available to fight

He’s still top 3 GOAT in the sport

Cuz he wasn't a drawl. In all seriousness that's probably the reason as to why he wasn't given those opportunities. Aldo's a great fighter and a treat to watch but not someone that's easy to promote for someone like Dana.

This x10 for Aldo, but I disagree that Dana dispised Anderson. I think it was 50/50. Dana was a fickle kind of guy with Anderson, and it really depended on what the situation was.

There were times when he would threaten to cut him and just badmouth the everloving fuck out of him, but then there were times where he absolutely gushed over him and would lose his mind if the media didn't unanimously call him the number one pound for pound with a bullet.

Idk. Dana was super weird with Anderson lol.

He's never hated him but the moment Conor came on the scene Jose Aldo had to take a backseat.

None of that means he hates him, it just means he gives Conor special dispensation because he's such a big draw. Same reason Jones gets special dispensation and Ronda didn't have to do any promotion for a title fight.

At least he doesn't treat him like Mighty Mouse.

A boring performance? Wtf? Aldo was chasing Moraes around the octagon and tried to hit him with everything he's got.
Aldo came to fight, Moraes came to point-fight.

Aldo was given an opportunity to step in for RDA. Just sayin'

People talk about him being gifted a title shot. He was handed the title without having to fight for it... twice! That's a pretty sweet gift.

He was also openly critical of his pay and the UFC in general
