The last time there was a Brazilian champion was in 2015 when Conor defeated Aldo.

And for the first time:

Today, we have 2 Nigerian born champions in Usman and Adesanya both whom also represents the USA and New Zealand respectively.

An Australian champ in Volkanovski.

Russian/Dagestani champion in Khabib.

Who are all the young Brazilians coming up? What happen Brazil? No Hepresent

RDA was the last men Brazillian champ.
Technically Aldo was the last. He was promoted to undisputed champion after Conrad ditched the division.

It's just a more worldwide sport now, Up until about 4 years ago there'd only ever been GSP, Newton, Arlovski and Rutten (might be missing a couple) as champions who weren't either American or Brazilian.

Now there's been Nigerian, Australian, English, Irish, Russian, Chinese, Krygistanian champions and we might well see champions from Cameroon and Cuba soon too.

Brazilian fighters probably have two title opportunities this year in Aldo and Costa.

I'm excited for Werdums return. Not saying he's gonna be champ again but still

Figueiredo is fighting for the FLW title after next week, and he has a good chance of winning. Aldo's gonna fight for the BW title eventually, and other than that, there's Costa.

it's really fairly obvious what happened since 2015 to Brazilian fighters generally. I'll leave you to figure it out.

They're all older now - the champs so it's not a big deal.

It's also more popular now - mma - so other countries have been slowly working their way up.

Costa in the UFC and Pitbull in Bellator are the two most likely to be champs (if coker decides to let pitbull go although I have a feeling UDSADA would KO pitbull.)

Brazil has always been like that. Dominated soccer for like 40 years then turns into B level team. Invented Jew Jitz and perceived as a MMA powerhouse during the formative years of the sport, but lost their steam as other countries starting to catch up with the programs.

Brazil just one the copa America and always qualified for the world cup . What the fuck you talking about?
