If you need a 165 division

You admit it's easier to fight Nate for a belt then go to WW or LW and get a real belt.

5 pounds difference ?

I might gain 5 pounds after 2 days of eating with the water retention.

New belt = easier to get more money.

No 165 division.

No new belts.

Things are fine the way they are.

If one day they make 165, 170 will move up to 175.

145,155,165,175,185

And then the 185 champ fights the 175 champ cause he is bigger. The 175 champ fights the 185 champ, cause he can't lose his belt in that fight.

Endless fake belts and multiple division champs.

Exactly, Pandering to fighters who couldn’t win a belt at 155 or 170 isn’t a good look, it would be a joke division.

Once again... the only freakin new weight class that's needed is between 205lbs and 265lbs. That 165 is bullshit

Nah. LHW and HW already lack depth. A weight class between the two would make them even crappier.

There is no talent in those divisions you can't get enough decent guys for a division.

155 and 170 are 2 of the biggest weight classes in terms of number of athletes. They are the only divisions you could comfortably split

That's on the UFC to stop making superfights every time a champ strings two defenses together.
The 145lb and 155lb coexisted and functioned fine for years until the UFC allowed Conor to hold two belts.

That's ridiculous. Things are not fine the way they are.

155 to 170 is too big a gap for such a small weight. And a 20 pound gap between 185 and 205? Ridiculous.

Welterweight and middleweight should be re-aligned to 155, 165, 175, 190, 205. That would accomodate more fighters stuck between weight classes. For example, Yoel Romero is one such fighter. He's clearly too big for 185, but just a bit too small for 205. The result is him depleting himself too much to make weight, and missing it sometimes. A 190 weight class would see fewer middleweights miss weight, and also fewer middleweights fighting undersized at 205 (because they can't quite cut to 185).

Similarly, you've got fighters like Colby Covington and Nate Diaz that are too big for 155, but probably a bit too small for 170. 165 would be a perfect weight class for them.

You're not too smart. Normally the smaller guys have better success moving up, the size doesn't seem to be the factor in Champ Champ World

Things are fine.

This will turn those divisions into a quagmire.

You'll have fighters jumping weight classes every fight.

There's already too many titles as is. And we add another one? Ridiculous.

What about Usman and Adesayna? Are they given belts in a weight class they didn't earn theirs in? Or do they get stripped?

Breaking up 2 of the shallowest divisions in the sport makes no sense. Breaking up the two deepest isn't necessary, but it makes a lot more sense.

15 pounds of muscle is a lot.. anyone who doubts that should just go buy 15 pounds of meat and put it in a pile..

With that i see the 155, 65 and 175.. not 155, 65, 70..

Lol @ making new weight classes just to accommodate non champions like Colby, Diaz and Romero.

That's exactly what would happen.

Any fighter who can't win a belt at 155 or 170 will be jumping into that new weight class.
