Just imagine the leverage a fighter would have over a multi-billion dollar company if they recorded an approach to 'fix' a fight.

UFC would face financial ruin via blackmail or the massive company devaluation and loss of credibility should a fighter speak up.

The idea they would risk it all to guarantee the outcome of any particular fight is absurd.

Yeah in combat sports history there's never been a fixed fight, or a fighter taking a dive for the promoters.

Dana set up Joe Son and War Machine because they were going to speak out. Now everyone else is scared into silence.

The UFC did it in the past....

Doesn't make sense to say 'never'. Fixed fight can also be between two fighters, or between a fighter and a gambler, or the organisation can find a safe way to do it.

Suppose the ufc ease you through a time where you cant make weight and they fix it with the commission...suppose you test positive for kangaroo steroids but they say they can make it go but you owe them a favour

There are so many ways they can get leverage on these man-children

God forbid any corporation would use unscrupulous tactics or actually cheat their customers to make more money....

Yeah, because every promoter = UFC. Just like a random hotdog stall on the streets of NY = McDonalds. What applies to one applies perfectly to the other, clearly.

Dont bother, he's another gullible simp who believes anything he's fed

Except TS didn't argue that the UFC is too moral to use unscrupulous tactics, which it seems you missed in your haste to hate on Conor, yet again. The argument is that it would be fucking stupid to fix a fight, especially one that was already hugely in Conor's favor. Nothing to do with UFC being unwilling to cheat or be unscrupulous, everything to do with the risk vs. reward being entirely fucked. They would never do it and risk losing their entire, massive brand + billions of dollars. It makes no sense from any angle, for any halfway rational human being.

yeah....because it would go like this: "hey! this is dana white, you should lose your next fight"

or maybe.....maybe they would have middleman
