Nebver seen a guy with that much ring rust ... comes in off the couch and and destroys one of the best fighters.

That must be a record.

FIFTEEN MONTHS LAY OFF + new weight class ... let that sink in!

Best fighters? 4-6 in his previous 10. Got obliterated in his previous 2 fights leading up to this one. Career journeyman. Chokes in all his big fights. Never held a UFC belt.

Don't get me wrong, Cerrone is a gamer. But best fighter he certainly is not.

This was a tailor made win for Conrad. Nothing more, nothing less.

GSP had a 4 year lay off and won the MW belt, a division he's never fought in before.

Cerrone has some quality wins at lw/ww but cmon he is not one of the best fighters.

Cerrone's child should be taken away while the investigation into this wannabe WWE farce goes on.

There's nothing to let sink in.

He beat a journeyman who got KTFO by Gaethje, battered by Ferguson and who is known to fold under the spotlight.

Everyone knew the outcome as soon as the fight was announced. That's why the odds were 3 to 1 despite Conor not having won a fight since 2016.

Now let that sink in.

One of the best of 4 years ago. Since Jan 2017 he's fought 8, maybe 9 top 10 ranked opponents in that time and lost to every one of them not named Al Iaquinta. Most of them by stoppage.

He beat a journeyman coming off 2 finishes losses and who is know to fold under the spotlight.

GSP went 6 years, went up in weight, won a belt.
Don't nut hug too hard man, You'll miss other exciting fights that break REAL records.

Father Cowboy has wins over Iaquinta, who Khabib got the title shot against, and Perry. He is not a top 5 fighter but is far from a journeyman.

Hmm yeah against a guy who retired literally a few weeks later and was ducking legit contenders at MW

Its not even arguable that what GSP did is more impressive than Conor coming back and beating an unfortunately worn Cowboy

Ok, maybe not a journeyman. But he's a gatekeeper who is coming off 2 losses where he got absolutely pummeled.

No one ever took this matchup seriously. The minute it was announced literally everyone knew Cowboy was meant as a stepping stone.

GSP came off a longer lay off and beat a champion of a higher weight class.

Actually it was not a new weight class either...
Conor has more fights at WW than at LW in the UFC...

15 months is nothing compared to 4 years. And Bisping was on a streak looking the best he had ever been.

So many fighters have gone over a year without a fight because of injury which makes it even harder to comeback. Nothing to see here.

What Cruz did was a lot more impressive than GSP and Conor. He beat TJ Dillashaw who looked unstoppable at the time
