Looking at the official UFC rankings:

1. Khabib
2. Tony
3. Poirier
4. Gaethje
5. Conor
6. Cerrone

Should he jump ahead of Dustin or Gaethje (who also KO'd Cerrone in round 1) ??
Does he stay at 170 and get ranked #8 ahead of Diaz but behind Maia and Wonderboy?

Logically? He stays right where he is at. A one sided win at welterweight does nothing for his lightweight standing. There's no logical reasoning for him to be ranked above Gaethje and Dustin, given what they have both done within the division in Conor's absence.

Realistically? He's going to get bumped up above them both.

Nowhere because this fight was at 170

The fact that Conor is ranked #5 at LW despite not winning there for 3 years is a joke

It makes him Heavyweight GOAT obviously.

Right behind Khabib in the UFC rankings.

But realistically this does nothing for him in the actual rankings.

Logically fromm the UfCs point hes #1

Imagine being 1-1 at LW and 2-1 at WW and that makes you top 5 at LW.
Why not base rankings on twitter / IG followers? I mean that is what really matters these days.

well logically to get a TS he should face gaethje or poirier, but we know logic doesn't apply to conor ...

let's be real sherdoggers, those ranking are horseshit they are made by bunch of fatty journalist.

Conor is obviously the number 1 contender after Tony, former LW champs, he starched Poirier in 1mn30, he starched Cowboy in 40 sec, if you look at Gaethje vs Alvarez and Gaethje vs Poirier and then Conor vs those two ,you know that Gaethje is rightfully so below Conor on the ranking.

1. The Dustin fight was contested at featherweight, and holds zero weight in the lightweight standings.

2. MMAth does not apply when predicting outcomes, and certainly does not apply to subjective rankings.

Being 1-1 in the division does not grant him the number one contender spot. He needs to fight Gaethje, who is on a three fight first round knockout win streak. That's how he earns a shot at Khabib.

o true.

They'll bump up his ranking across two divisions just so they can sell a rematch in either division.
