This last fight between Nunez and Germaine was a disaster.
1. Nunez gassed out in round 1 like a rookie.
2. Germaine has zero ground game, so Nunez was extremly lucky that she could take Germaine down at will and rest on top of her for the remaining 4 rounds. Nunez was exhausted, so she resorted to taking Germaine down, Germaine has zero tdd and almost no ground game, otherwise Nunez was toast, she could barely stand at the end of the first round.

How the hell a fighter with no tdd and no ground game like Germaine became a contender in first place? This is speaking volumes at how backwards the wmma still is, they need at least 20 more years to become a decent division.

this is MMA not kickboxing. Nunes did what she had to do to win. GDR is a more higly credentialed striker despite Nunes knocking everybody out. She has size and reach over Nunes. In the standup, GDR is a bad matchup for anybody, including Nunes. She did what she had to do.

1) watch men’s MMA from the 90’s, and you’ll see just how far the game has evolved in 25 years.

2) WMMA is about 10 years old, so if you are rational, you would expect for its general development to be AT LEAST 15 years behind.

3) when you take into account how many men are involved in boxing, wrestling, and other contact sports, the overall talent pool with skill sets that feed into men’s MMA is considerably higher than for WMMA.

They just need time to develop. Stop being fucktards.
