Who had a closer fight with Volk? Max or Aldo?

It's been a while since I've watched volk vs aldo but I remember it being a fairly non eventful fight where volk slightly won and seemed aldo didn't throw or try very hard.

Max just got smashed for 5 rounds, legs demolished and volk landing the much much harder punches to the face.

He definitely dominated Aldo more, but in a boring fashion.. via a lot more clinching against the cage

He controlled Aldo via wall-n-stall.

so I guess if we are using mma scoring he controlled Aldo more - granted Aldo did nothing.

Max was a close fight - I though Max won as he controlled the fight and volk fought in spurts.
