Volk reminds me a lot of Mendes, similar style
 
He had a pretty good skin cream.
 
Chad Mendes was a damn good fighter

Sad thing is, Mendes really could've won the Volk fight. I remember being pissed with his bad gameplan because he really had that fight
 
hes this past era's Sean Sherk. His sturiking/counterpunching is def better and had some nasty leg kicks too

Sherk only lost to Hughes, GSP, BJ and Frankie

retired 100% TDD
 
he woulda beat conor if he just played boring and held him down after takedowns but he went for the ifnish and got pwnt for it.
 
Kind of just goes to show he wasnt champ material.
 
When you look at his wins though...how many great or very good wins does he have? Lamas?

mhm chad was amazing loved him people hated on him though also he was tiny for 145 dude could cut t 125 if he wanted he went up to give other guys a chance to wi titles he didnt have good riding top control though had insane takedowns but couldnt keep guys down off them
