Amidst all these talks of Conor once again receiving special treatment from the ufc (after Dana declared that if he beats cowboy he will be gifted the title shot), taking a drive down memory lane, boy did they do Aldo dirty...no rematch has ever been more warranted and the ufc not only did NOT give him the deserved rematch and screw Aldo (it wasn't even a fight, just a one punch, 13 second miscalculation), they have been bending over backwards for Conor ever since.

One of the bigger screw jobs in ufc history imo.

Aldo has been nothing but classy after that and it always angered me the way the ufc handled that whole thing. Disgusting.

Because the UFC are whores for money and will sacrifice their integrity at every corner if it keeps that little bastard happy.

Didn't fit the plan probably. Selling the idea that Conor would KO Aldo exactly the same in a rematch which a lot of people here parroted. Can't lose a rematch if you get the easiest win possible and then dash

Aldo was first to be offered to replace RDA at 196. He had his chance

McGregor only does rematches if he loses.

Dana had a hard on for creating 'champ champs', so they went that direction instead.

Aldo won the interim belt. Conor ran to fight a journeyman in Nate.

Aldo got offered but he ducked.

If Aldo was so much superior to Conor then a short notice fight should have been no problem to him.

But Aldo's injury history and training camp shenanigans are really weird. Not conducive to short-notice fights anyway.

This is not charity fighting championship you know that?
KOed in 10 seconds and pretend something is stupid..

Conor doesn’t take fights where there isn’t anything of significance to be gained, that’s why out of the 4 Championships won he’s never defended one time... zip zero zilch naught nil notta none negative

Aldo was never the same after that 'bout. Accumulated more losses after it than ever. McGregor win was also pretty decisive. Aldo was starched, deal with it.

I wonder if you apply that same logic to everyone who's been knocked out quickly and never fought that particular opponent again.

Or is it just Conor McGregor?

God you kids are weird.

KOed in 10 seconds and pretend something wtf...
KO'd in 13 seconds is a better case for a rematch than dominated for 4 rounds and choked out. Right punch, right spot, anyone can get KO'd.

Ufc is a business

u strike while the irons hot

Conor going for a 2nd belt at the weight class above was a way bigger fight than rematching the guy he ko’d in 13 seconds and who pulled out the fight prior
