Once upon a time, Fedor was seen as an invincible, untouchable, P4P Goat; and everyone thought he would retire undefeated and nobody would stand a chance especially A. Silva. We saw Fedor go down hard in Strikeforce, and then get a few good wins; before getting knocked silly by Fabio Maldonado and KO'd by UFC dropouts like Matt Mitrione. How will we look back on Fedor and his career in 10 years?

Fedor GOAT

A top 3 of all time for sure, along with Anderson Silva and Jon Jones

Everyone fucking falls from grace if they fight for too long. Enjoy the brilliance and top level run.

This

Anything Connor

And Jon Jones’s failed USADA tests

Are bar none without exception the most fascinating new topics that have never been discussed on here ever

This is going to happen to most of the fighters you love. A harsh reality of this sport is that the brain isn't like a muscle, it doesn't heal. Damage accumulates on these guys fast, even if they're not getting Ko'd in the ring they take those beatings in sparring. It's entirely unfair to judge someone as shopworn as fedor for the latter half of his career.

Remmember Roy Jones Jr conquering weight classes from middleweight to heavyweight? that dude's a bum he's getting KO'ed 3 times ina row and by aussie nobody danny green.

Remmember GSP tapping to midget Matt Serra's punches and couldnt even finish him in the rematch? What an over rated bum who cant finish a fight cause he's scared.

Remmember Anderson Silva? he's exposed all the new era guys are owning him.

Remmember Mohammad Ali losing to some LHW in Spinks, and then Holmes exposed him before he lost to a paper bum in Berbick. Nothing he did before should matter.

If you didn't think I was being sarcastic, may god have mercy on your window licking soul...

He's the GOAT. That's how you'll look back on him.

All the greats in mma have fallen so far. Fighting is in their dna and unfortunately for them, they keep fighting well passed their prime. What can you do about it? Just come to Sherdog and take jabs at whatever goat fan base you dislike <Fedor23>

He was very good in his time, he is there with anderson silva, bj penn ecc..
Nobody last forever.

Let’s be honest, by most fans he’ll either not be remembered or be remembered as overrated. On far and away the biggest television stage of his career, he was finished three times in a row. That is what most fans will remember him for.

I think he actually thought the rules in the U.S. meant you couldn't do steroids. He has been at a real disadvantage since he came here because of it. Greatest ring martial artist of all time. Jones, GSP, and Silva best cage. Arguments for all overall.

Igor is closer to the GOAT convo than people realize. His run was close to Fedor's.

I expected more out of a 2009 join date...

Fedor is a legend no matter what happened later in his career. Who cares if casuals don't know who he is.
<{hfved}>

Fedor started to decline at the average age most professional athletes start losing their edge and and are no longer as competitive on the world stage

yet he is accused of PED use more than the dozens of "freak athletes" that are fighting dudes at the highest level well into their mid 30's that the ufc has according to brogan that are all totally natty
