Did Chael ever cross the line trash talking Tito?

The former UFC champion recounted his Bellator feud with Chael Sonnen, and why Sonnen so particularly got under his skin. A fighter Ortiz just really didn’t like at all? There was, and his name is Chael Sonnen.

“Chael Sonnen. That guy he just . . . I dislike that man,” Ortiz said (transcript via MMA Fighting). “He’s just something else. Some who talks and talks and talks and has never done anything in this sport besides talk. That’s what he does for a living. He should’ve stayed to that and I guess he is staying to it [since] he’s retired now.

“He said some very personal things about me and I’m a very emotional man, I’m a very loyal man, and when you talk about a person’s family I take it to heart. It’s my blood and I kind of let him have it a little bit. If people go on YouTube and watch Tito Ortiz Uncaged, he said a couple things about me and was talking about me putting on my championship belt and I had to let him have it, full bore. It wasn’t just a little, it was full bore. I put him out for who he really was and he never said another word about me.”

If it’s hard to imagine Chael Sonnen ever staying silent about a former foe, Ortiz is no exception to the rule. In fact, Sonnen even had a response to this interview, posting on Twitter, “You’ve got a ‘fight’ coming up in, like, 3 weeks & you’re STILL talkin’ about ME???” Sonnen wrote, adding that Ortiz should “Just admit you tapped, get it off your conscience.”

‘The American Gangster’ has long claimed that Ortiz “verbally tapped” during their bout, and that that was why he let go of his guillotine submission and was submitted himself shortly afterward.

“He verbally tapped, and I never said anything about it,” Sonnen said on a 2017 episode of his podcast You’re Welcome! (transcript via MMA Fighting). “And the reason was, he quit the sport five seconds later. He quit the sport five seconds after I tapped and he quit the sport a minute and five seconds after he tapped.”

Tito saying that Chael only used his mouth and Chael saying that was his ex wife was by far one of the funniest moments in MMA

That one was below the belt..

just like Jenna likes it

I actually admire Tito for marrying a pornstar.
One of the few things I liked about him. That demands balls.

But must be hard to hear the jokes about it, and IMHO it is just a low blow that he could live without.

Then again, I admit it must be hard for Sonnen to not say those things... it is just his nature (and funny as hell - disrespectful for sure, but funny).

Tito tapped.

Tito tapped.

Reem performance that night was the most embarrasing that i have ever seen. I still remember this like it was yesterday:

I know the rules here so I'll just say this.

Questionable fight.

I like the fake beef between these two.

Tito v. Sonnen was one of the most obvious fixes ive seen in a long time.

I was actually disappointed by Chael's trash talk in the lead up to that fight. Tito kept calling him a juicer, kept making reference to Chael's PED usage. Why not respond by pointing out Tito's massive HGH-inflated head? Why not bring up the time Jenna posted pics of his needles and shit on social media? I feel like there were opportunities for some gold zingers and hilarious Tito attempts at a comeback but Uncle Chael really dropped the ball.

Why do you poll everything?

I don't know, man. Chael is obviously all tongue and all cheek all the time, but it's easy to underestimate just how stupid Tito is. We're talking like 68 IQ tops.

Tito was gotten to by his ridiculous rivalry with Kenny Shams. After their third fight you could hear the mic pick up Ken going to shake Tito's hand (after his third major ass-kicking mind you) and saying, "Tito we made a lot of money together," and Tito was stomping around like Warren on Something About Mary, clearly not understanding kayfabe.

He hardly needed to trash talk when Tito selfpwned so much

“....Tell another jackal story...with Christopher Walken and a mane and a lion and you and Vitor from back in the day.” <Lmaoo>

Daley losing it gets me every time

Tito, the clown without class, whining about trash talk?!?
