As crazy as it might sound to some you, the ufc although called out for having "a serious steroid issue" by Joe Rogan and gullible individuals as such, is probably the cleanest out of all the major sports organizations that have internal testing, USADA doesn't fuck around, its independent and while it has had some interesting things happen with Jon Jones, for the most part if you fail a test they will call you out no matter who you are.
So all this bullshit about UFC fighters not being A level athletes is a bit dumb when they can't just blast Test and other shit while they're in training camp, look at the KSW, those dudes do all the roids, they all look like those NFL athletes that Sherdogers get their boners off on,they're all fucking jacked and somehow have the cardio to go all 3 rounds while carrying all that muscle mass, roids make a huge difference in an athlete, fuck knows how much GH and test Lebron does, he runs up and down the field with a ball and i somehow more jacked than most weightlifters, natural my ass. All your sport heroes have probably used steroids at some point, its not even about gaining an advantage these days, its just to level the playing field.

keep in mind, costa only got caught for Iv use because someone in his inner circle tried to extort him and yoel took a supplement, which contained a gh secretagouge, which hardly does anything for muscle gain. Both looked the same after their return.

I don't really buy that notion, I don't think any league (in the US at least) is cleaner than the other.

If that’s how you feel you aren’t paying attention. USADA has clearly been severely over punishing less talented athletes to seem active, and making exceptions/prioritizing higher value fighters (Nate Diaz).

you feeling they are fantastic at getting rid of cheaters is exactly what they are trying to accomplish.

Id argue the only major case that they’ve handled successfully is TJ Dillashaw

at least usada call out the athletes, ever hear about Lebron being called out or any other high level athlete in any other org?

Being called out publicly is not the same as being effective

Dadbod brigade stop hating on the natty GOAT Paulo "Greek God" Costa just because he's so much more appealing to every single woman in the world than you

USADA certifed 100% clean athlete, stop trolling.
The cardio aside, that physique is naturally possible at his age, he definitely is extremely muscular for a fighter though, despite his frame being big (wide joints, etc.)

(Coming from someone who can't really stand him, especially since he's ouweighing everyone, inlcuding Hulk Romero on fight night.)

EDIT: he also has been caught using IV's. That's cheating. Plain and simple.

We just need the eye test. If they look like something we aim to look like but haven't achieved WE BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!

And we inhale the fumes and get those picograms into US!

Almost like the Dark Crystal. But muppets, not puppets.

Yeah, Jon Jones is allowed to fail drug tests and still fight. What a clean organization.

not sure how you quantify that, but with USADA there, and guys like JONES, a HABITUAL CHEAT, getting LINIANCY, not sure if your argument sounds right

Every single basketball player and NFL player is on roids.

Here is one reference making a strong case that Olympic and USADA testing is way, way, way more stringent than other popular sports....

....if you trust the powers-that-be. And it's pretty obvious that many here absolutely do not (no judgment).

Baseball - MLB

How often do they test? At least twice per year -- once early in spring training, once later at a random date.
How many athletes get tested? 600 players three times a year, and up to 60 in the offseason.

Football - NFL

How often do they test? 12,000 tests are conducted during the season, including 10 randomly selected players from each team in every week of the season. Players can also be randomly selected for testing up to six times each off-season.
How many athletes get tested? Every NFL player is tested at least once per year.
What kinds of tests do they run? Urine tests only.

Basketball - NBA & WNBA

How often do they test? The NBA tests every player at random between 0-4 times per year (0-3 times for WNBA players). Tests only occur at practices and games; none are conducted during the offseason.
How many athletes get tested? Every player is eligible, though not all will be tested in a given season. Rookies have a higher probability (and frequency) of testing than veterans.
What kinds of tests do they run? Urine tests only.

Hockey - NHL

How often do they test? The NHL tests every player at random between 0-3 times per year. Most tests are conducted during off-days. Tests only occur during the regular season, not during the playoffs or offseason.
How many athletes get tested? Every player is eligible, though not all will be tested in a given season.

Auto Racing - NASCAR

How often do they test? Two samples are taken randomly from 8 -15 drivers and/or crew members during each Sprint Cup race week.
How many athletes get tested? Every driver is eligible. Random testing started in 2008; before, testing only occurred in suspicious situations.
What do they test for? Both performance-enhancing and recreational drugs. Basically, it's whatever NASCAR decides; no list of banned substances is is available.

Olympic Sports

How often do they test? Players are eligible for random, unannounced tests on a 24/7/365 basis, but the rate of testing depends on sport and athletic rank. 61 percent of tests are out-of-competition.
What kinds of tests do they run? Blood and urine tests.
