Amanda Nunishhhh... De Lyonessshhhh!

<DontBelieve1>

Does anyone?

She's going to make her MMA debut against Amanda Nunes?

Makes sense.

I actually don't know who that is.

She is a great boxer but without KO-power. Nunes should be able to take her down and if she chooses to stand the threat of the takedown just might allow her to win a striking battle simply because Shields will be unsure of herself going forward after being taken to the mat for the first time.

But hey, they did Toney vs. Couture so why the hell not?

Shield's brother will attack Nunes' trainer like a punk bitch.

Better hope it's not in Brazil or they will likely never see that guy again.
Doubt Nunes getting past GDR though.

Didn't know Shields got married to some hood chick...

you're forgetting one huge thing...nunes' kicks...like the one she ko'd holly with...clarissa has no clue how to defend a high kick or body kick....she'll be in deep trouble.

I doubt GDR ever gets another title-shot. She is a great fighter, but Nunes beat her once and top brass (understandably) don't like her.

Edit: Damn, just found out that she did get the title-shot. My bad!

Um... stating the obvious.

James Toney made his debut against Randy Couture.
Ray Mercer's fight pro fight against Tim Sylvia.

Related, McGregor made his boxing debut against Mayweather.

What do you think makes more sense, making your pro debut earning maximum money, or make your pro debut earning $10,000 and risk a loss to a nobody?

It'll have to happen at Featherweight if it does because Nunes is losing her 135 belt to GDR next month

She gets destroyed worse than James Toney if she really gets in there.

If her management or camp allow this, they should be publicly shamed.
