Mirco Cro Cop 1996;
Cro Cop began his kickboxing career vs (the one and only) Jerome Le Banner, and won.
Cro Cop made the transition in 2001 to mixed martial arts.
For his debut fight, Filipovic faced Kazuyuki Fujita, who'd come close to making Japan's (Freestyle Wrestling) Olympic team. The fight took place at a memorial event for Andy Hug.

Alistair's first pro kickboxing fight was in 1997.
Overeem began his MMA journey at the age of 19 and competed for organizations such as RINGS, M-1, It’s Showtime, 2 Hot 2 Handle and Pride.
Fedor Emelianenko 1997;
Fedor is former judoka/Sambo fighter for Russia who became "the GOAT" in MMA. Fedor Vladimirovich Emelyanenko was Russian Judo Federation National Championship (Bronze medal).
Emelianenko began his mixed martial arts (2000) as a member of Russian T. T. training with the first generation of Russian RINGS competitors, such as Volk Han and Andrey Kopylov. Fedor's first fight was against Martin Lazarov.
Andrei Arlovski 1999;
After enjoying success as a Sambo fighter, Arlovski made his professional debut at an M-1 MixFight event in Russia back in 1999.
Arlovski returned to the training room and won the M-1 MixFight heavyweight title the following year.
Andrei made his UFC debut in late 2000 at UFC 28 where he defeated Aaron Brink.
Sergei Kharitonov 2000;
Sergei started his Boxing Career in 2000. He tried to get into the Russian Olympic Boxing team but got injured in the semi finals during a live boxing TV event.
Sergei's won his first (2000) mma fight against Zamir Syrgabayev.
