...You have 5 years, and for each year you can train for 5 days a week 5 hours a day to learn only one skillset from one ufc fighter per year. At the end of the 5 years you're gonna have to fight a mediocre unranked opponent.

Who would you choose and why?

The skill sets are as follows:
Offensive Wrestling
Defensive Wrestling
Striking Defense
Boxing
Kick boxing

I'm gonna go with:
Khabib
Aldo
Jones
Max
Adesanya

Your turn...

Joe Son, all five years.

Done.

Karelin
Karelin
Loma
Loma
JCVD

I know you said UFC fighters and I dont care.

No BJJ?

Anyways I'd go with GSP, Maia, Cruz, Edgar, and maybe Wonderboy.

Oh I’d be ready for a title shot, cause I’d use Tito’s training schedule. Each one of those five days I’d train three days a week. And every hour I’d train two hours.

I'm not sure this would be the best idea. A lot of times, fighters don't make the best teachers. But, for the threads sake:

Offensive Wrestling: GSP
Defensive Wrestling: Aldo
Striking Defense: Anderson
Boxing: JDS
Kickboxing: Adesanya

I primarily chose older, more experienced fighters. My logic being that they would be able to offer better insight on how to apply the individual skill into MMA as a whole.

Year 1: Aikido, Steven Seagal
Year 2: Cardio, Greg Hardy
Year 3: Nutrition, Gastelum
Year 4: PR, Conor
Year 5: sabbatical

Steven Seagal all five years for all disciplines and then some.

How often has this thread been done?
It was shit the first time, and guess what, it still is.
<codychoke>
Jones' defense only works because he has massive reach, Aldo's TDD only works because he has incredibly moving hips,

Adesanya, Khabib and Holloway have taken years of training and fighting to get where they're now.
Without their talent you probably need a lot more than 5 years to get to Championship level skills in every area....

All their fighting styles mashed together doesn't really make much sense either.
Two outside-strikers, a pressure wrestler, a pressure striker and a brazilian.

you're gonna have to fight a mediocre unranked opponent.
Which weight class?

I want to learn not to click shit threads like this but its fucking hard to do here
