Fighters most affected by csac weight cutting rules

What’s the difference between any other state? Country?

None. 15% is way too huge a jump to really matter.

Exactly. They don’t really enforce any weight related rules. Just suggest weight class changes and then try to shame the fighters by releasing weight cut percentages.

Some cross it, but even if they do its a CSAC only rule, that afaik they dont enforce 100% but try to get fighters to move or help them not cut that much.

10 fighters have been at 15% or over in the 4 events at CA in the last 2 years. 10 out of I think 98. But only 1 of the 4 fighters mentioned by TS is on this list.

Alex Perez (126 to 146.5 = 16.3%)
Brett Johns (135.2 to 158 = 16.2%)
Sodiq Yusuff (145 to 169.2 = 16.7%)
Kyung Ho Kang (136 to 156.4 = 15%)
Manny Bermudez (140 to 164.8 = 17.7%)
Sabina Mazo (126 to 145.6 = 15.6%)
Darren Elkins (145.5 to 167.4 = 15%)
Sheymon de Silva Moraes (146.0 to 170.2 = 17%
Misrad Bektic (145 to 166.8 = 15%)
Aspen Ladd (135 to 159 = 18%)

Over half of all fighters have been over 10%.

That's not true anymore.

So first they took action against Ladd, and a few weeks later they took action against 6 other fighters. This was all in August.

What happens across other AC's with these actions is an open question. This is uncharted territory.

I don't think Romero really pushes it too close. He had about 6 lbs of leeway in the costa fight, the issue with yoel and weight has always been whether he could healthily get to 185 or not cause he's struggled at times. Now maybe those times Romero did struggle making the mark he was closer to 215 and thats why it was so rough for him. But as of the costa fight he only went back up to 208 which isn't dangerously close to that 15% ceiling which i believe is probably just shy of 214lbs where costa was 14.9% at 213 lbs.

The UFC weighs in every fighter about an hour before they fight. They know who they need to keep away from Cali.

How do they know when fighters use IV’s to rehydrate?

Romero isn't affected by that rule, he was only 208 at the Costa fight.

Had the rules been in effect, the Costa fight would've been canceled because Costa was over the limit:

Why is there a cap on Super Heavyweight? That's silly.
