No excuse, they own Pride. They could atleast test them on some of the shitty fight cards.

Personally, I think they need better defense technique...

Grappling with the current gloves is difficult enough as it is

No issues with it in Pride. Some of the sports best grapplers came from there.

What's better. Some grapple fucker having a slightly harder time? Or a fight ending eye poke 15 seconds into a main event.

Just punish eye-pokes, lol. Same as with fence grabbing, nut shots and all that other shit. Just deduct a point.

I don't know if you remember but some fighters had troubles with the gloves too back then. IIRC Shogun had trouble with his gloves at Critical Countdown against Lil Nog.

just do hammurabi justice. if you poke a guy in the eye, that guy gets to kick you in the balls

If you started punishing fighters either with severe points deductions, DQ’s or fines this stuff would stop happening. Fighters use it defensively and offensively now within their game plans to their benefit.

They could have stamped this out years ago.

agree, they should change the gloves

punishing fighters wouldn't have helped yesterday and in many other cases, that's not the solution.

Koscheck would have loved that rule.
Do you mean using acting ability to draw a penalty for opponent via phantom knee to the head of grounded opponent? Like sometimes in soccer?

No he definitely didn't mean that.
