The complaint is the flat padding of UFC gloves forces the hand to be open with fingers out. The PRIDE FC gloves have curved padding so the hand would have to go against the natural relaxed position in order to poke. I think Bellator gloves are also curved.

Put the blame where it really belongs. The problem isn't so much the gloves as the lack of penalties for the guys who put their fingers in their opponents' eyes. Harsher penalties and I bet you we'd see less of this shit.
