Why in the world in Paulo Costa getting the next title shot?

Romero & USADA are by far his biggest wins

I mean, he convincingly beat Yoel. No one convincingly beats Yoel. Only other fight for him that would make sense is Gastelum but he’s busy.
 
Romero was overhyped leading to Whitaker and others getting mid tier hype.

Bisping carried Romero in terms of mic and action star abilities.

Rockhold on the mic is still better than Romero.

Cause he's ranked number 2 after Israel who is already getting the shot

#3 Yoel Romero just lost to Costa
#4 Gastelum lost to Adesanya
#5 Hermansson just beat Jacare
#6 Souza just lost
#7 Wedimen, well his going to LHW

So its either Costa or Hermansson technically that deserve it next and Costa has the bigger win and more hype and following

He's equally as deserving as Hermansson and he's got more buzz around him. Makes sense to me

Yoel Romero started his UFC career with 8 straight wins. Has finishes over 3 UFC champions and 2 Strikeforce champions, only losing by decision to the current champ before losing to Costa. I can totally see your point, he's a shit win. Good call, bro.

Costa is 5-0 in the UFC MW division with 4 finishes, 1 over a former UFC champion, and has just defeated the most recent title contender.

Shit choice. I hear ya.

Let's give it to somebody who's on a 4 fight win streak instead and is booked to fight another contender. You know, it's MMA, so he'll totally win no matter what.

Who else should it be at this point? They already fast tracked Adesanya to the top, so all that's left is Costa.
