I never saw that one coming.

Never saw someone take out a champion by destroying his leg.

I don’t think Rampage has looked the same since.

Lol Rampage chased him around the entire fight looking to land bombs and Griffin kept his distance and stayed away. Every leg kick landed, Rampage didn’t check any of them lol.
 
I remember a shit load of people thinking Rampage won.

Forrest beating Rampage and Shogun is two of the greatest upsets of all time.

I mean, it's just a tier below Serra koing GSP or things like that. Forrest subbing Shogun? I mean, that's crazy.

If I recall correctly, he was constantly trying to land the right uppercut after stepping outside of Forest's jab.
 
Forrest was 1 of a kind. Alot less skill but alot more determined than those who have god given talent. A true fucking warrior

Forest got rocked a couple times in the fight as well but did a good job of surviving.

Yes i always remember rampages epic meltdown! And the forums were fucking nuts! There was a thread called Run Forrest Run the day of the fight! Lol!! I lurked the forums in 2008 2009.
