How will we know who are the PPV stars

For all we know, without public uyrates, the way the UFC talked about Mighty Mouse, we would have thought he was as big of star as Nick Diaz or Mike Perry

Conor also wouldnt be able to brag about him smashing PPV records

GSP would still be considered the greatest PPV star of the UFC

Holloway & Nunes would be called great PPV draws by the UFC...and headline weak cards

The PPV buyrates have never been publicly listed

Meltzer's goimg to have to make some friends at ESPN.

you can tell which fighters attract fans and attention without PPV numbers. PPV numbers doesn't even tell the whole story, only for the PPV market

We don't need to know, homie. That's literally the most useless information in my life.

Can't say that knowing or not knowing who's a PPV star changes anything for me.

It's probably by design and on purpose for that very reason...Ambiguity=space for manipulation and tampering

Exactly, if they don’t have to report something, something that paints a prrrty good picture on how they’re doing you bet your ass they never will

You don’t need to know anymore. The numbers are obviously embarrassingly low, if they sell over a million on the app then you know they will jump out and say something. But the UFC is getting paid regardless of how many they sell.

Or the opposite can be said as well, not reporting bad ppv numbers works in their favor as well in regards to brand traction

I guess the new relevant number is ESPN+ subscriptions

We will not know. Period. Full stop. Yet, there are pro wrasslin fans who make a living pretending they know (they don't) and the MMA media is so juvinile, they go with it. It's comical as heck if you're an older fella that's been around the sun a few dozen times.

Obviously you can judge a fighter's popularity via counting the number of people wearing their Reebok UFC jerseys. Duh.
