Snappy & quick. If only he'd used that more than attempting too much flashy stuff earlier in his UFC career. Might have actually seen him vs Silva.

He mentally faded a few times but he looked sharper than ever.
 
The few times he followed the jab with the straight right was money. Dude could probably box pro. Great speed and superb balance tonight. The few mistakes he made had shoeface holding and praying for a robbery win as soon as he had "dominant" position. Is it dominant if you do nothing with it, or even worse dont even try to?
 
yeah but he jabbed TOO much imo. shoeface has poor striking defense, i think if uriah threw the right more, he could have KO'd him.

shoeface isn't a striker lol... it was to be expected that he got outclassed on the feet. it was still a very close fight.
 
Uriah's always had a sick jab

He was busting Costa up with it in their fight too

It's a stiff jab, that's for sure. But he just spams it, then tends to run to his left every time which is both predictable and wastes energy. He doesn't measure distance that well, although it did set up one good combo.

Needed to throw the cross and left high kick in combinations, was too worried about getting taken down I reckon.

Has all the tools to get the finish
Ironically, if he threw more strikes in combinations or even intercepting knees/uppercuts it would've kept Shoeface off him due to the ko threat
 
He has never lacked dthe tools. He just ain't got the mind.

Thanx. The guy is unable to throw any combo, saying he is a great boxer, like some says, is beyond crazy. He was very lucky yesterday

Don't have to be a great boxer to throw a double jab or 1 2 occasionally
