Diaz is the biggest star in MMA

He's a needlemover, but he's not the biggest draw. Most champs will do similar numbers, with the best doing better.

If he gets a title shot, it will be huge tho.
 
He'll be MIA for a few years again soon enough.
 
A needle mover is still a tier or two below red panty night

He's on the right track though. A needle mover can pick his fights and still make some good coin

Conor has like 28 million more social media followers than Nate.

And even though he hasn't been fighting still gets searched exponentially more than Nate. Nate barely went above Conor during this fight.

No they don't, Diaz was clearly the biggest star on the card that included the HW championship on it. Jones might be the only champ that can draw close to him, but that's very dependent on who his opponent is.

with out conor nate number are nothing cause he was always on fight nights or tuf finales. remember his title shot was on FREE tv not cable fs1 it was on normal fox that everyone has.

There's plenty of evidence for it though. By every metric Nate was the biggest star on the card which had the HW championship on it. Every video posted with Nate in it did big numbers, he had the #1 and 2 trending video on youtube after his fight. Nobody else that's active is generating that kind of attention.

We all know that all that matters is butts in seats and PPVs bought.

Nate has been in main events and title fights before, and they didn't draw much.

He has to prove he's a draw by headlining cards and drawing massive numbers.

He has failed at that before, and has yet to succeed in that.

Let's see him do it once (without conor), and then we can talk about how much of a superstar he is.

Nate's never headlined a PPV so don't know what main events and title fights you're talking about not drawing much. His title fight on Fox is one of the highest rated UFC on Fox cards ever and that's all the way back in 2012 before he even fought Conor. UFC 241 just broke the record for highest live gate in California, that's definitely due in a large part to Nate. Even Dana White is admitting Nate's a big draw now, don't know why you're trying to downplay his popularity but he's clearly a bigger star than any Champ in the UFC.
