Fix or no fix this is three brutal stoppages in a row and terrible 4-7 skid in his last 11.

This is getting to be Chuck levels.

Love Cowboy for his career but I don't want to see him take any more damage. That shot Gaethje landed on him in his last fight was career ending.

He simply was surprised by the shoulder strikes, which, yes,...in the right hands, can do damage. Cerrone has been going downhill lately. He should retire imo.

I just really hope he doesn’t keep showing for that six figure show money and become Pettis esque. But what else is he going to do? He doesn’t have enough dough to walk away forever when he can just sign up for one fight and make several times the average annual salary in the US. Sketchy. To be fair, all 7 of those losses were against top of the heap fighters.

Masvidal- Obviously one of the best WW's in the world
Lawler- Top 5 WW of all time
Till- Literally two weight classes above Cowboy. At LEAST 30 lbs heavier on fight night
Leon Edwards- Another huge WW that's way bigger than Cowboy. Top 5 WW in the world too
Tony- One of the best LW's of all time
Gaethje- Top 5 LW

He's only been fighting the absolute cream of the crop. Cowboy can still beat most guys in the next tier below that. If the man wants to keep fighting, let him keep fighting. They just need to stop giving him top 5 guys and start focusing on giving him fun matchups with lower level guys.

Yeah, it's a strange/dangerous mixture when a fighter can still perform well enough to contend.. but not at the level they are used to and should retire. It would almost be better if fighters could just hit a wall and not question whether or not to continue competing.

Good point but his chin becoming badly shot, and he fights way too often.

If there was ever a tragic case of CTE waiting to happen, it's Cowboy.

He can't hang anymore and it's only getting worse. His last 3 fights have been awful to watch as a fan.
