- Conor texted Dana saying he feels like he should own part of the UFC, to which Dana responded with “Conor, you know that’s never going to happen.” This was a couple of weeks ago
- Says Conor has made enough money to sit back and do whatever he wants to do, mentions his success with his whiskey ventures.
- Says Conor has never sat down with him and explained why he wants a piece of the company.
- Says he loves Conor and that if he wants to retire then that is his decision.
- Says if you want to own a piece of the company then you have to put up the money and buy a piece of the company.
- Says if you want to buy into the UFC right now the valuation is pretty huge.
In regards to if the UFC will not be as big without Conor McGregor:
- Says he has been hearing that stuff for 20 years and that people don’t actually know anything about the sport. Says nobody knows what the UFC has planned and what they are working on, says the UFC has been the trailblazers of mma for the last 20 years and will continue to be for the next 20 years.
- Says it’s great to have GSP’s, Anderson Silva’s, Conor McGregor’s, the stars of the sport but it is part of the sport and there will be other stars in the future.
