Knowing that women's main events have never been a big hit with the fans
at UFC why is Dana trying that again this time with Rose Namajunas and
Jessica Andrade at UFC 237 especially since in the same venue a year
ago the building was empty for Nunes/Pennington except for a few Brazilians
who stuck around to watch Amanda Nunes retain the Bantamweight title.
 
who would you have Main Event in Brazil?

only other Brazilian champion is Amanda Nunes
 
One thing Dana is good at is making money and it's very surprising he did not adjust his actions on WMMA ME...

In this day and age there is a riot for equal rights to an extent that causes chaos and over surge.

If Dana had his way he would never let women headline a card.

The UFC is convinced that they need a title fight to headline their PPVs and they've been having difficulty scrounging them up. Even a WMMA one is better than none in their opinion.

There champs and they want recognition also dana can rub it in and say hey ladies heres an pay cut.. This is why you dont get payed.

That's WME thinking every title fight must be on every ppv card and the rest on fight nights.
 
Is UFC making more money than ever? Yes.
Is WMMA continuing? Yes.
Do sherdoggers continue claim that if WMMA continues UFC will lose money and die? Yes.

What's the disconnect here?

They have signed TV deals all over the world, and 3/4 of their shows are not PPV. They just signed a deal with ESPN that guarantees them a certain buy rate. Zuffa makes money even on cards with low PPV buys. Profits seem to be bigger than ever.

The argument that low PPV sales due to WMMA will kill the UFC has been lost. At least have the intellectual honesty to morph your argument with some contemporary debating points.
 
It's not Dana, it's the Hollywood Elite who own UFC. WME has to make its liberal financiers happy.

It doesn't help when they are short-sighted by putting 2 or more Title fights on a PPV like Jones and Woodley as a recent example. That should have been 2 PPV's not just one . The WW belt used to mean something, now the Women's Bantamweight has more prestige than that belt apparently.
 
With as many shows they have going on sometimes I think it just comes they only have so many choices for main events of PPV's.

The new deal they have even less incentive to knock it out of the park on PPV cards.

Who wants to pay money for Woodley gs Snoozeman? That fight had boring written all over it from the start.
