Her young age was even highlighted on the tale of the tape lol!


-The word “young”, as it pertains to Maycee, was used a staggering 13 times during the broadcast, while the word “future” was used 8 times.

-Maycee has the lofty goal of being the youngest UFC champ in history. She even has an app on her phone that counts down the days until she turns 23, just to make sure that she’s on track to surpass Johnny Bones.
-Maycee also employs a signature hand gesture where she motions to an imaginary watch, to signify that times’ a wastin!


-Megan Olivi quoted an unnamed UFC.com writer as saying, “All aboard the Maycee Barber hype train! Jump on now while there’s still room!” Also note that the term “hype train” was used 3 times in reference to “The Future”.

But it's WMMA. How many fighters can take advantage of that? Aldrich is a chick that's won fights in the UFC. Win like 3 fights against fighters like Aldrich in a UFC WMMA division and you are in title contention.

Give her some time, man! She’s a prospect and needs time to grow. She acknowledged in the post fight that she got pieced up in the first while she was working her south paw stance. But as any good prospect will do, she listened to her coaches between rounds and switched to orthodox for the second. We all witnessed the utter destruction that followed.

Comparing that to Jon Jones is like comparing high school female basketball player to Michael Jordan. I am not saying Jon Jones is Michael Jordan, but yeah.

Hairline analysis has been all the rage in the last couple of months among some eccentric Sherdoggers. Possibly in search for the fountain of youth, but look no further. She’s it!
