Some fighters have incredible knockouts, or submissions as their lasting legacy... For others, it's a comeback victory, being a dominant champion proving this greatness, or a fighter having weathered a tremendous beating and never giving up... And for others still, it's receiving an unforgettable KO, or even a failed drug test. A defining moment is just that, it's not intertwined necessarily with greatness.
Every fighter has a moment for every fan which they will be remembered for above all others. Their defining moment. Their masterpiece, their 9th Symphony, their Mona Lisa. A single action defines almost everyone and will continue to do so long after they're gone.
In Carla Esperza's case it's eating an over priced ice cream:
Edson Barboza, no matterr what he does will always be remembered for this kick, just as the name Terry Etim will always be synonymous with getting KTFO by it:
Hard to imagine a Khabib thread without this pic these days:
And for all the evil he did, and despite being in movies, Joe Son will always be the guy that Keith Hackney legally castrated with his knuckles:
Matt Serra will always be defined by THAT victory:
This happened 10 years ago, and it's still defines Hendo, although Bisping arguable sipped his was beyond this:
And what would Rashad Evans have given to not have been photographed at this exact moment...?
By Lyoto Machida, who's dietary habits spring to mind as soon as his name is brought up...
What you got?
